RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CHOOSING THE CORRECT VEST SIZE

  1. Take body measurements with a soft tape measure according to our guidelines below.

  2. Using the generalised sizing guideline tables, find the closest size based on your chest measurements. When between sizes, pick the lower one for an easier-to-conceal fit or the higher one for a looser fit.

  3. Confirm your armour coverage by unfolding the 'BODY COVERAGE MEASUREMENT CHART' in the first accordion at the bottom. Using the toggles above the chart, you can switch between our 'FWA' and 'EST' armour cuts and check the 'front' and 'back' panels, respectively.

  4. Ensure you're meeting your protective area requirements per the sizing regulations set by your agency or department by unfolding the 'ARMOUR COVERAGE AND WEIGHT TABLES' accordion at the bottom and locating your body profile and size.

❶ HEIGHT: Run the measuring tape in a straight line from the top of the head perpendicular to the floor.

❷ WAIST: Bend your torso to one side to find a natural indentation, revealing your natural waistline. Run tape around the natural waistline, keeping the tape measure parallel to the floor.

❸ CHEST: Measure under the arms and around the fullest part of the chest at the front. Relax your arms at the sides while keeping the measuring tape parallel to the floor.

IMPORTANT: When choosing a size, you should always defer to the sizing regulations set by your agency or department. Never select a size that provides less coverage and/or protection than suggested or required by your agency or department.

Choosing a smaller sized vest than recommended by this sizing guide can prevent vital areas of your body from being covered and protected by the armour. This could result in severe injury and/or death.

Refer to this armour size chart and the reference illustration to check your coverage, confirm movement won't be impaired, and ensure all vital areas are protected.

The front panel's top terminating point for measurement B should sit 2.5-3 cm (1”) below the suprasternal notch, while the bottom terminating point should sit 2.5-3 cm (1") above your natural waistline.

All of our offerings conform to NIJ 0101.07 level HG2 and VPAM BSW 2006 level VPAM 3 at a minimum, with our hybrid solutions also offering protection against more exotic threats.

PROTECTION TO THE CORE

Our soft armour inserts have an integrated pocket sewn into the cover, designed to accept our proprietary CARNA™ SA anti-trauma inserts and provide enhanced spine and sternum protection.

In the event a bullet strikes the sternum or the spine area of the vest, the insert will prevent critical injuries, such as rib or sternum fractures, alongside severe numbness from damaged vertebrae.

Constructed out of a consolidated layup of ultra-thin polypropylene fibers in a hardened matrix, the 2 mm thin insert doesn't restrict movement, and provides exceptionally efficient energy dispersal without the risk of fracturing or breaking during impact.

The body side of each ballistic panel pocket is lined with ThermoCool™ fabric woven from multi-channel yarns, which helps regulate body temperature and wick away moisture through specially internal capillary tubes, massively increasing the effective surface area for dissipation, further enhancing the body's natural evaporative cooling for long-term cooling performance.

INCREASED VERSATILITY WITH FUNCTIONAL EXTRAS

The HIPS™ is designed to be naturally self-positioning thanks to its panelling and 4-way stretch mesh shell, resulting in a slim and tight fit while remaining incredibly soft and comfortable to wear.

The length of the carrier itself acts as an integrated tail system to keep the ballistic inserts in the right spot for ideal protection and preventing ride-up whenever you sit down and stand back up.

INDUSTRY-LEADING WEAR RESISTANCE

We use a unique cover material made of lightweight, abrasion-resistant polyamide face fabric coated with a durable water-repellent. Our internal liner is TPU-based and features UV-blocking pigment to protect the ballistic materials from photooxidation caused by the sun's UV radiation, ensuring consistent performance throughout the insert's lifespan, no matter the environment.

Our two-stage sealing process ensures that every insert is safe from hydrolytic degradation from water, vapour, or general moisture. We accomplish this by pre-sealing the edges in custom-made moulds for consistency, sealing potential leaks from material bending and creasing before finishing the edges using an ultrasonic welding process to fuse the cover materials together.

The HIPS™ carrier is designed and manufactured by Anorak Hellas, a Greek family-owned manufacturer with over 40 years of experience manufacturing high-quality textile products.

Material-wise, it features genuine VELCRO® manufactured in Spain, a high-performance mesh shell consisting of COOLMAX® and LYCRA® manufactured in the United Kingdom with a ThermoCool™ fabric lining manufactured in Spain, all sewn together with high-quality thread made in Italy.

We manufacture all available armour packages in Denmark using cutting-edge European and US-made ballistic materials from industry leaders within each material category.
