TWO-STAGE DISPERSION
Like our ballistic layups, our CARNA™ CP anti-trauma liners feature a hybrid layup with dedicated components specifically selected for each step of the dispersion process.
After any armour system has successfully caught a round, due to the laws of energy conservation, excess energy which wasn't converted into friction, mechanical resonance or sufficiently dispersed will eventually be transmitted to the operator wearing the armour in question.
Our CARNA™ CP Anti-Trauma liners slot in behind your existing ballistic armour system and have been specifically engineered to dissipate this excess energy over a larger area as efficiently as possible, using a mixture of highly molecularly oriented polypropylene for proficient axial dispersion and our proprietary CARNA™ urethane polymer bonded and pressed to transfer mechanical resonance efficiently.
While all of our armour solutions follow the backface deformation requirements of their respective standards, further lowering trauma can help keep your composure if you're struck by a bullet, enabling you to return fire or get to safety without being incapacitated by shock or pain.
NOTE: A CARNA™ CP insert will NOT replace a soft armour insert for use in ICW (in conjunction with) systems.

THE CARNA™ CP STRIKE-FACE
In the front of every CARNA™ CP insert stands a self-reinforcing, highly molecularly oriented woven and bonded CARNA™ AT strike-face, specifically designed to increase shear wave propagation from the prior ballistic impact and increase its axial dispersion into the CARNA™ polymer underneath.
SOFT WHEN WORN, HARD WHEN HIT
Our semi-closed cell urethane blend exhibits impact-hardening properties. Its molecular makeup is free-flowing and soft in its rest state, ensuring ease of motion with full-body contouring.
On impact, it instantly molecularly aligns and hardens to form a rigid, protective shell.
Since all of our soft armour solutions boast true multi-hit performance, so does our CARNA™ polymer.
Featuring an exceptional compression set of <2%¹, with complete recovery occurring within milliseconds instead of minutes or hours, your CARNA™ CP trauma pad will disperse just as much energy on the first impact as it will on potential subsequent² impacts.

LIGHTER, SOFTER & STRONGER
Boasting an impressive 40-50% increase in impact dispersion compared to existing high-end soft urethanes and other elastomeric polymers, our CARNA™ polymer blend is not only more performant but also 18-20% lighter than competing anti-trauma solutions at comparable thicknesses and mitigation levels.
This ensures you're not carrying around unnecessary weight and allows you to perform at your best, even if a bullet strikes you.
INDUSTRY-LEADING WEAR RESISTANCE
We use a unique cover material made of lightweight, abrasion-resistant polyamide face fabric coated with a durable water-repellent. Our internal liner is TPU-based and features UV-blocking pigment to protect the ballistic materials from photooxidation caused by the sun's UV radiation, ensuring consistent performance throughout the insert's lifespan, no matter the environment.
Our two-stage sealing process ensures that every insert is safe from hydrolytic degradation from water, vapour, or general moisture. We accomplish this by pre-sealing the edges in custom-made moulds for consistency, sealing potential leaks from material bending and creasing before finishing the edges using an ultrasonic welding process to fuse the cover materials together.
